Default chaning oil on 00' si

sup,
ive had my si for about a week, and the previous owner had told me to change the oil in about 300 miles. he used mobil fully synthetic 5w-30. I've changed oil on other vehciles, i just want to confirm the 2000 civic SI is the same. i will have the car on jacks, let the oil in a bucket, change the oil filter, and then pour more oil into the engine. Is there anything else in the process of an oil change of a 00' SI? (b16a2)? thanks
