i was driving hone from work and i go to change from 2nd to 3rd and all of the sudden a hear like a clunk noise. i let the car roll to somewhere i could get off. i got off to see if i hit anythin or anythin wrong w/ car. i turn the car bak on i press the gas to move then all the car does is rev the engine while im in first and every other gear is the same. i press the gas and its wont move.pretty sure its the tranny but im askin what else could be problem and if i should fix that trnny or jus buy a new one.

 

Well, before that, you will need to tow it to your local car shop. Let them look at it and see what the problem is.

A clunk, while driving could be a ton of stuff from a broken axle to the clutch shattered... No way someone here can remotely provide an idea.
