I guess neither of you saw the new rule. You should be docked % now.

But yes, you will need the trailing arm and all that stuff. Check in the FAQ thread up top there are about 4 links in there about rear disc conversions.

the only reason i asked is because the conversion that i got the trail arms and sway bars basically everything except for the calipers and rotors are complete rusted and would have to be cleaned and repainted black i wanted to elimnate doing that i saw in a magazine someone doing a rear conversion and just replaceing the hups.

there is no problem with swapping the hubs and not the trailing arms. i went ahead and pressed in energy susp. bushings in the gsr trailing arms and swapped em. keep in mind if you do this, you should prolly get an alignment.

is the cables longer on the ls than the si is this going to be a problem running the ls cables with my car. the bushings on the disc conversion are all lockup bolts wouldn't come out have to be most likely pressed or torched out been sitting along time. should i change those or no

So when you do a conversion.....You really don't have to swap the trailing arms out? You can just swap the hubs and thats the main part?

Thanks,
Kaleo

Correct!

I would call them "spindles" though, not "hubs". The hub is just the unit w/ the wheel bearing & wheel studs. The spindle has the bracket that the calipers mount to & the shaft that hub mounts onto.

To remove the spindle, you need a special star bit for your rachet/breaker bar & the bolts can be a PITA to access (there are 4 on the back of the trailing arm). There are no torque measuements in the manual for these bolts, so I can't help you there.

so is it possible to take the torex bolts from behind the backing plate and transfer the hubs but will a 94 integ hub fit into a 99 civic dx one.

I forgot who said this but yea, when you clean those brakes make sure you do it with a nice hard bristled brush so you die from all that crap that floats around (I can say it but not spell it). All I've gotta say is be careful when you clean your brakes. Don't air 'em out or scrub 'em w/ a brush.

how many bushings should i need do i have to replace all what do you guys think. the ones in there now have to be pressed out or torched the bolts wouldn't come out of the bushing itself.

If you had a real si you would already have the conversion.
