Help me pick out some brake pads!
Yup, I cracked through the center of all 8 pads (f/r)... Deals gap did the stockers in.
And I know not one set of pads will work for street, autox, and track...
So, help me pick out a set of street/ autox pads. Good stopping is a must, but if they could hold up to some mountain cruise type of abuse too that would be great (Deals Gap III anyone?)...
I'm thinking ebc reds...
Any other suggestions?
Porterfield R4S are fantastic for street, autoX, and occasional track. I'm also looking into some Panther+ pads for pure track....
oh yeah, i forgot to mention I don't want a lot of dust... How are the porterfield r4s? And they'r ok to run year 'round front and rear?
Do a SEARCH either here or in the competition section!!! This question is asked almost daily and there are already tons of responses which will more than answer your question.
yaya, i did a search but there are 10000 posts and just as many different opinions.
I figured i'd ask the guys i know best, which are the itr guys here.

I don't want competition pads, just street/ autox maybe pads.
Have a happy weekend all.

If you want something for the "street/autoX" I would say, stick with stock. I use Carbotech Panther Plus, and the New Carbotech XP's. Both are GREAT pads. They do dust, but it will easily come off when washing your car. Do a search for the Carbotechs, Andie will be more than happy to assist you Im sure.
Good luck...

What about Porterfield R4S pads? I have no experience with them (I'm shopping for pads just like you) but have heard favorable things about them...
The R4S do dust, but not too insanely, and it comes off as easy as a hose and the same soap you wash your car with. They have excellent feel and fantastic terminal grip, and were fading only slightly after 30 minutes of track time.

R4S pads here in the group buy you might still be able to get them. I ordered mine and had them about 5 days later, I paid 61 shipped for pads for my wilwood calipers so I don't know what they are for your R. But
Geoff who actually did the group buy...

Ken, I've not heard too many good things said about EBC pads... FWIW, I've used Hawk HPSs and like them a lot (good grip and not too dusty) but I recently switched to Hawk HP+s b/c they're supposed to tolerate track events better (but they do dust like an SOB!) The HP+s have a better initial bite, too. HTH
For street/auto-x, I recommend the Axxis Ultimate. The Panther Plus is street/track, and the XP is track only.
Axxis Ultimate (NOT the Metal Master) are $92.25 front and $52.35 rear for the ITR. These will give you excellent cold stopping, low dust and noise, be rotor friendly, and have good wear rates; rated from ambient up to 1000F.

But Definately CC-X
Endless pads are awesome, I never try any high end one, but my NA-Y work well from -35 to +35 degree C!! And it lasted over 2 years for me on the street and some auto-x.
Go to http://godspeed.hack.net/ and click on "Endless".

Also, finding a high performance brake pad that doesn't dust much is hard to do.. Carbotech Panther (not panther+) would probably be a good pad.. Call Andie Lin at http://www.carbotecheng.com he will set you up with something you want

Oh, sure you did.
When I do a search of Archived Topics with "pads" in the title, there are 32 threads. And they contain a lot (but a manageable number) of good opinions.

Btw: It looks like I'll be getting endless NA-R for the fronts and CC-X for the rears... How does this sound guys? Godspeed site doesn't have a listing for the NA-R.....
Also, supposedly the ctr and itr can swap pads? True or false?
(And please don't tell me the answers to these questions are in the archives somewhere.....
