Does anyone know any good tech shops aroud the NC area. I am looking to get some work done on my car and havent really found a good reliable shop to do the work. I live in the wilmington area but i am willing to drive to a shop if the recommendations and the shop sound good. I have family in different parts of the state so i could take my car, get it worked on and visit family all at the same time. Killing two birds with one stone sounds good to me. So if anyone knows of a good shop let me know. Thanks

its all going to depend on that.

i know people... shops... etc... but it depends on what you need really.

 

P1 has a strong presence on the board.

 

jack is good... but not necessarily the best place to go for say... an oil change, tune up, etc on your beater or dd when it's 3+ hours away. now if you are looking for tuning he'd be amoung the top 3 for sure.

Very true. I didn't even consider that he would be looking for a maintenance type place.

 

he might not be.... i dunno.... and actually, after looking @ his age he's probably not looking for a "family mechanic" like i had originally though.

the thing about it is i don't know of many "legit shops" around here.... i know a lot of reputable backyard mechanics but as for the shops.... the only place i know of is an exhaust place i use pretty often.

im me Im in Wilmington......10 years with high performance hondas.....and my partner is an Acura mechanic......i think i can help you out.



P1 is awsome i have used Jack to tune myself and would recommend him.....however for anything else i do it all myself........

I was just looking for a good tuning shop maybe get some porting some or some installs. Around the wilmington area there arent many maybe honda specialist only really decent place i can think and the other shop that people talk so much crap about autoFX, i have seen some work that thy did on my buddys car and it was not so good but if anyone can recommend any that would be nice. P1???shop??

I have wondered about there being shops in the NC area before but couldn't find many. I am in the Mooresville Charlotte area and the only good one that i hear about a lot is Honda Works in Charlotte. And all the race shops in Mooresville and none of them are descent honda shops
