Default 04 civic si ecu ? (obd2 to obd1?)

I'm not sure this is the right forum but I asked in the dc5 and ep3 forum. No help there. Is there any way possible to convert from obd2b to obd1 and run a chipped p28 ecu on Uberdata, or any other ecu?

Yes there is, if you know how to wire it go ahead. There are also many places where you can get jumper harnesses. Like these one.

Are you referring to OBD2b and your car? Your car is not classified as the normal OBD2b ecu. The normal OBD2b reference covers 00-01 Integra, 99-00 Civic and 98-02 accord, etc. If you need a conversion harness for that application or any other, let me know. No middle men to worry about with no tech knowledge. No internet pinout copier like so many others.

Jason,

Would it be possible for him to run Uberdata or any other type of DIY EMS if he converted to OBD1? I don't see why not but, I may be over looking something (I'm K-tarded ) Thanks

As far as i know there is no k-series to OBD-1 conversion.

OBD2B is 99-00 SI not newer SI.

Alright so going to obd1 is not a problem but what about an ecu? Is there any obd 1 ecu I could use to run the k20a3? I know the they are completely different engines but run like an older si ecu and modify it with the ignition timing and fuel maps from the k20. Would that be a problem?

If Jason (blown90hatch) can make you a Harness(K OBD-obd1), I'll make the car run.......Come on man you know that

How do you plan on controlling the intake cam sprocket? Are you eliminating the variable timing?

By swapping to the obd1 that would take the variable timing out of the system. Would this cause a problem?

It doesn't matter what o2 sensor the "motor" uses it's what the ECU reads. Hence the reason when doing A OBD0-OBD1 you must switch the 1 wire for the 4 wire.

the o2 sensor should not matter

but i don't see it being possible,
1. if it was hondata would not of spent so many hours developing a new program for the k-series
2. how would a obd1 or any older ecu control the new i-vtec?

also if you have k-pro (like said in your sig) why don't you use that?
