Default Disappearing Coolant

Noticed I didnt have coolant in the reservoir so I filled it up to the max line and also popped the cap off and filled it up there....(had noticed my car actually running hotter...up to the half line instead of the 1/4 line) this was on Wednesday..i drive maybe 300 miles total a week... Today i check the coolant and its down to halfway between max/min... During the rain I hyrdolocked my engine...it shut off so i just took out all the plugs and turned the key.... all is well since then...car runs fine.... just now I have disappearing coolant... Ran a Compression check and I have 160s all across.... help me y0

should also mention.... 97 DC LS

I once had a pin hole leak in a small hose that was heading towards the TB, it would shoot a small stream of coolant out, but only when the engine was rev'd.

It would not do it at idle, and it was a small amount that shot straight to the ground.

do you see any visible leaks in the engine bay? any puddles on the ground at all? not just on the top, check EVERYWHERE. teggy rads tend to self destruct around 100k, most likely it's just a leak in the radiator. mine did the same thing, then after negelecting it for a few days i ended up having to fill it with 1-2 gallons of coolant a day till i bought a new radiator.

if you do get a new one (if it is just a leak/crack) get one from pepboys.. $100 and lifetime warranty

sorry to tell u this might it might be a headgasket. check and see if you have a milky substance under the oil cap. if there is, take care of it soon, water doesnt lubricate as well as oil.
