Default Help - boost not holding and boost limiter question.

hey guys, another question for ya. Starting today, whenever im at WOT in second gear, about every other time at 7500rpms the boost limiter kicks in, which comes on when theres a boost spike detected. Then, when the boost limiter isnt kicking in, it feels like theres a lag (maybe loosing boost) and i can feel power being lostfor a thousand rpms or so then the power kicks right back in. Im not sure whats goin on, i dunno if its a leak from the boost controller or what, i am running a dual solenoid TurboXs manual boost controller, an tial 38mm wg if it matters. thanks guys.

im back real quick, my passenger watched the boost gauge and there was no fluctuation in boost pressure. it seems to lag intermittently above 6 grand. clutch slipping?

took it for another spin, just to "check things out" and found an STI along the way and threw it up to 12lbs from a 50 roll n pulled two cars so it cant be running THAT bad. But anyways, i wanted to give more of a detailed description. it feels like all of a sudden the intake gets clogged for a moment and lags, but its intermittent, sometimes it'll do it and sometimes it wont. Also, sometimes it'll do it for 400rpms and then other times it'll do it all the way from 6000 to 7500rpms. Im not sure, just wanted to give out as much info as possible so anyone whos in my situation can give me advice. If not, im datalogging it anyways on hondata sometimes this week when i get ahold of the software and a laptop. thanks.

hey man, thanks for the reply. I checked everything, fuel press gauge, a.f gauge and the boost gauge, all at WOT when it did it, and there was no fluctuation whatsoever in any of them. im hoping its nothing tuning wise, because the car was tuned by steve sakai, who is a tuning god. oh well, we'll see what the datalogging shows sometime this week... thanks guys, im glad i registered on this site! within an hour i have plenty of answers and info that im looking for, this site is a great help
