I don't want this be be another generic "do i need a clutch" question.. but im trying to narrow it down, and figure out what the hell is going on.
1st of all, its a 97 GSR, origonal OEM clutch with 150K.. DOES NOT SLIP.. but it does feel stiff.. stiffer than other OEM cluthces. So im wondering if my clutch is due... when i shift, it wants to lock me out of gear. unless i shift at 2-2500 RPM, anything higher than that, it wants to lock me out. ive adjusted the clutch throw with the rod that goes into the clutch master.. and ive also changed the tranny fluid over to GM snyncromesh.
It does NOT GRIND any gear, like its synro's.. so im lost. a friend of mine mentioned the fact the clutch disk could be still spinning, and this is why its locking me out? any other ideas?
do worn out springs in the clutch disk, or pressure plate cause lock out issues?
