Anyone have experience with Action Clutch?
does anyone have any experience with Action Clutch? I was considering the 1MS kit or the 2MS kit. what do you guys think? and also whats the difference between the 4 puck and the 6 puck.
I have a stock gsr motor running 9psi 290whp. In the next year or so I plan on pushing around 350whp though. let me know what you think.

I have the 1MS in my CRX. I like it. It hasn't seen boost yet, but I daily drive the car and it's a very driveable clutch. Grabs really fast, so watch out!

The problem is more the torque you are going to make. At 350whp you will have enough torque to get the 2MS or 2MD. The 2 MS is better for street and durability on your transmission since it's sprung. I have the 2MS and the pedal pressure is about 2x more and has an awesome bite to it. A little chatter when cold, but once it's warm and you get used to how it engages it's a fine clutch. I have pics of the install I did in my driveway if you want them
Action much recommended

You should post the pics and make a thread of a clutch install FAQ for people.
About the Action clutch I highly reccomend it. Either the 2ms which is sprung or the 2md (which is unsprung and a bit harder to drive one, you will be squealing tires until you figure this clutch out)
adseguy is completely on point on this one

Why am I usually Not?? J/K
Here are some pics. I used this to help with the install. I went to Auto zone and borrowed the ball joint remover and torque wrench since I didn't have those. I also got a jack since you will need two. One to jack the car and the other to hold the motor up when you take a motor mount out. All in all it took me aoubt 8 hours to do over a span of 2 days. I was very scared of doing this wehn i read that i had to remove axles and motor mounts and such. I was almost going to have a shop do it. But I tried it anyway since I had no money
. Suprisingly everything went very smoothly and I only had trouble getting one bolt off since it was rusted (no troubles though). After doing this I really think you will build a lot of confidence and want to do everything except maybe the internals of the motor. Maybe later
.
Anyway here are the pics:

No I didn't resurface the flywheel even though I kinda shoulda....oh well no problems yet. The difference between the 4 puck and 6 puck and the full face is the amount of grip and engagement smoothness.
In order from gripier/not smooth to softer/smooth: 4puck>>>6puck>>>full face

I think you should get the 2KS. I have that. Its perfect for the power your putting down, no chatter at all. 2KS is the dual diaphram segmented sprung kelvar disk.

I would NOT recommend the 1MD. Doesn't grab hard enough (barely holds 200 ft-lb torque), shifting smooth can be tough (car shakes like mad in stop and go traffic). The pedal pressure is nice and soft, that's one positive.
I might end up with a new clutch before this one wears out.

i had the kevlar and loved it but upgraded to a 4puck unsprung disc for a little more bite for my soon to be boosted gsr...and its rough on the street but once you get used to it...it just grabs so hard!!!
I have the 2md, and it's a little overkill for my puny 265whp, but I plan on pushing some serious hp/tq soon. . .
Grabs hard, but can be slipped when you get used to it. . . .

Same here! Im running the 2KS on my LS turbo and its definately the best of both worlds. Smooth stock engagement, but grabs hard on launches.
