Default Tell me if I should do this or not.

Alright I spun a rod bearing in my D16Y8 that I have in my car right now. I'm pulling it as we speak. I also have a running d16z6.

I was wondering if you guys think it's a good idea to sell the z6 for 300 bucks. And then pick up a good block for 90 bucks and move all the parts from the Y8 to the working block. Guaranteed gain would be 210 bucks into my wallet but what do you guys think?

1 out of 10 what would you rate the difficulty curve for someone who hasn't gone further than attempting a motor swap?

The z6 has 154,000 miles on it just to let you know. thanks.

you dont have to replace the block cause of a rod bearing, you can just put in a new bearing kit, they dont cost all too much

How much is the kit? And is there anything else that the spun rod bearing would mess up inside of the motor?

Bearing journals on your crankshaft are likely scratched beyond repair. It may be polishable though, can only tell when looking at it
