Default OIL pump questions.. Type R showing cheaper price?

I dont get this ****.

I have a 94 gsr Im ordering engine parts for.

I looked up on http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org for a oil pump.

I looked up a 97 Type R.. I had heard something about them was just seeing the difference in price.

See these illustrations.
94- GSR oil pump Illustration #2 PUMP ASSY., OIL 138.38

Now Get this: Same ILLUSTRATION #2

97 TYPE R PUMP ASSY., OIL 98.80

Is there something im missing here... Will that type R one work for me? Its definately cheaper.

You can use it. The 'ITR' Oil Pump comes on all these cars from the factory:

Pretty much it's the OBD2 B-series oil pump, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work in your '94.

Go to: http://www.acuraparts247.com/sunnyside/

Their prices are always cheap, like the GSR oil pump is $10 cheaper there. I got like $1000 worth of stuff from there in the last month, they are nice to work with.

It's too bad you have to spend an extra $38 to get the OBD-2 lower timing belt cover to work with the OBD-2 oil pumps. Altho, you could just hack out the parts of the cover that interfere and save yourself the money.
