I have an msd SCI+ ignition going into a jdm 95 h22a w/ internal coil distributor. I see the instructions msd has for the internal coil wiring and external, without taking it apart and seeing myself, is it possible to wire in the blaster ss coil externally? if so, any tips?

you have to follow the instructions on the msd box..

to your coil you have to run a power and then a trigger from the ignitor. opnce you get in there and see how its setup you will see what wires need to e brought out of the dizzy , and you will also need a usdm distributor cap

 

so if i have the sci+ and the ss coil all i would need is a usdm cap.. nothing else?

Also the cap off a 95 lude or 97+? does anyone make an aftermarket one... or do u know which p/n i'd need from MSD?

 

dude,,,i had an h23a1 with a stock external coil on my 93 lude..when i swapped my h22a it was internel..i ran the wires and mad it external with an aftermarket coil.it wouldnt start unless boyh coils were plugged in..do u know why??HELP

 

hmm thats the type of thing i'm worried abbout when i do mine.. did u get the car started correctly at all? (with both coils plugged in)
