Default left over engine piece??... plus motor mount question

Hey guys, I need your help... I'm going threw tough times now but just got motivated to drop the engine in finally. wondering if I could just post a few misc questions about the engine install

ok fist off... I assembled this motor myself (first time) and I have the dreaded left over part. I can't find it in the helms, nor do I have a clue where it came from, or what its function is...

anyone know what this is??

question 2: these were on the car when I bought it 2 1/2yrs ago, I'm assuming they are stock mounts with after market inserts..? I can't afford a new set, so should I just use like a hassport to replace the rear mount then keep these inserts on the rest?

here's the engine I'm tring to drop as a newb

it's been hanging on those chains for a few months now
hope it works...

thanks for any help!

Nice looking engine!!! As for the left over piece, it looks to me like it's part of an aftermarket fan bracket. And yea, those are the stock mounts with the ES inserts.

The tranny side mount does not have the red inserts. is it not needed on that one or am I just missing an insert?

can anyone confirm that to be a fan bracket? (praying thats correct)
I took apart two motors just before this build so I have parts everywhere (plus I moved)...

thanks on the comments!

Yeah that looks a lot like the bracket that came with my FAL fan.

haha I hope they weren't big bolts... I have left over bolts also, but again I took two motors apart so I'm hoping they are from the other motor.

I don't really have a HP goal... my main goal is to get this thing running without problems, then my performance goal is to have a nice area under the curve, and see what I can get with around 16psi on pump, possibly 23~26psi on race gas in the future

the internal toys are Benson sleeves 84mm, CP's, Crower rods... the head is ported and stuffed with supertech valve train, and GSR cams.
what you see is and SC44E with custom trim (thanks to Theshodan )
I'll be feeding that with 780cc injectors that will be managed by a Hondata S100
your also looking at a ceramic coated Neukin mani

oh and my fart can will be 3" all the way

make sure you put saftey wire on them inserts, otherwise the plastic you have on there currently will break and the inserts will work themselves out overtime.

setup looks/sounds very nice.

where can i get a safty wire? is that the two black things on either side of the mount hole? looks like they are zip ties or something...? they're missing on the rear mount in the pic...

I just ordered a hassport rear mount from full race soon as that comes I'm dropping this bitch in

I've always just ran bolts through the holes instead of the zip ties. It makes the mount more solid and it will never give away with two bolts ran through it with a lock washer and a washer on each end.

Those mount inserts look fine, just re-use them.
