how much fluid?

Default how much fluid?

I have a 98 civic 5 speed and dont know how much fluid to put. Any input is great. Thanks!

I have the same tranny... it's like a little less than 2 quarts. Just pour it in until it starts coming out the drain plug like these other guys said. I pour mine in through the reverse light sensor hole... it's pretty easy that way.

well i changed my tranny fluid now. actually the nut for the filler hole was rounding off and it was hard to take off the bolt so I just filled it through the drain hole.

if you did you won't have enough fluid in there since it should be filled to the point where it comes out the upper fill bolt hole.

Lol... that's like putting oil in your car through the oil drain plug, just think about it for a second.

if you didn't know you can run a manual trans without any fluid but then it will seize up. If you wonna keep your tranny fill it up the right way. If you can't do it pay some one to do it, or take it to the shop.
