!!!!

how far do you have yours leaned out? do you have an A/F guage?

my V-AFC goes up and down from -8% to +3%.... and my A/F gauge stays on the happy side all the time....

thats exactly what they are. compression test.

well I had it leaned to about -6 to -4. Get a egt gauge(exaust gas temp). If temp goes up then your lean if its down then you are rich

about -6 to -4
I can't believe leaning it out that mildly would cause it to burn up like that.

Although, the fuel curve right after VTEC engagement gets tricky, you have to actually go rich if you lower the engagement point... I'd really like to see your settings in detail. How long did you have it like that? mines been leaned out for over 10 months now, and it still feels fine...

when my car was dyno tuned they didn't use a wideband O2...we just leaned it out and it created power...i hope im not dangerously lean...i doubt i am but still. Mine is up to 6% lean near redline.

the hard part is around VTEC engagement... my fuel curve on the V-AFC is a mini rollercoaster around 5K rpm...

go rich. Leaning will create more power but will screw your motor. thats what happened with me. I tuned it at the track and it ran better lean but it will get u a screwed engine. like I said professionally tuned.theres no other way

for the rebuild i will be doing custom JE 12:1 compression pistons with crome molly rings. Custom valves built for high compression and nitrous straight from cali, motor balanced within 1/2 a gram and stage 2 port and polish. Oh and later on I was thinkin crower race cams with webcams springs and a 75 - 100 shot. ALL PROFESSIONALLY TUNED BY A KICKASS MECHANIC. I'm comin for ya JG. the only thing my mechanic doesn't do in house is the balancing.

Dude, that is terrible! One question, what did you have your ignition timming set at? I was runing compression #s like that in my old motor, took the head of, and the only thing was wrong was cracked and crystalized exhaust valves.. Take the head of, inspect the valves.. My pistons were fine.. And yes, I blame it all on my stupidity of running the timming to advanced...

Are you comming to VIR with NASA in Feb, you should come and hang out, unfortunally, I don't have a passenger seat anymore...

He has a 1998 Prelude. He can't adjust the timing. (Well, unless he swapped to an OBD-1 distributor...)
