h22 tranny max hp

what is the max hp that my h22 tranny will be able to take before it craps out.. what would a built tranny cost me any ideas

That all depends on how you treat it. A transmission can "crap out" under bad use with stock power. It can also be fine with 300whp + .

I have never heard of H22a manual tranny failure due to power...might want to ask in drag racing...

It's almost never the tranny that goes ........... it is the axle and CV joints .......... and the synchros.
