Default GSR Motor? Poorman's type R? or Boosted LS motor?

im thinking about buying a friend's 93 hatch. right now he has a rebuilt gsr motor in there, and it is extremely nice, but he is selling it when he gets a hold of an integra... he said he was wanting to swap the engines so the eg would be running the ls motor. should i go for a vtec head or maybe a poorman's type r? or maybe just save up for a turbo on the stock motor?

any information would be greatly appreciated

-thanks

Boosted LS/Vtec. Hope you know what you're doing though.

The LS motor can handle a good amount of boost, and is a very cheap find. I think it would be your best bet to just have a Boosted LS, I'm sure you can find very cheap LS blocks on here.

Good luck

Go for the LS. lots or torque and great foundation to build NA/ ls/vtec / or boost off of.

ive got a boosted ls/vtec but it was a big pain. but its worth it, run 6lbs and your good. im putting 255 whp down at 6lbs with safe tune and its like a mad rat of ice.

How many thread about the same topic are going to get posted ?

Search next time. Boost whatever you have, but do some research as to what engine/turbo/psi combo you wanna run and whether its safe or not. And get some damn fuel management.

There should be a new forum rule about noobs posting. They should have no posting privileges during the probation period.

if the gsr engine is in there boost that

if you want to put an engine in, it depends on what your looking for.

Raw power and effective cost, LSTurbo

Nice power and reliability, go b18c

has nothing to do with it, the tune is much more important than the lbs or boost you run. Alot, and i mean ALOT of people are running 10+ lbs of boost on stock ls blocks daily.
