Turbo Filter Question???
do they mass produce turbo filters for a 2000 Civic SI ??.. this is what is covering my turbo right now.. do they mass produce them for my car, or do i have to get it custom.. another question is it even needed??? or is what i have fine??

Whoa, custom make the piping if need be......but get a filter on that thing ASAP. You'll wish you had if that turbine gets intimate with a rock or something. Plus dirt is quite bad.
I'm a fan of DIY, so... naturally i would suggest you just order a mandrel "u" bend and cut it, weld it up or take it to a muff shop and have them weld it depending how you want the bend. i'm sure its well under $125.
yeah, get a filter for that thing and try to fab up your own arm.
the fit in my engine bay was very very tight. so i had to get
some rubber hosing which never melted surprisingly from home
depot and threw on the filter on the other side

yeah i was thinking of getting a rubber housing with a filter on it.. but i was scared it would melt.. i think i'll do that till i get the piping for it

yeah, mandrel bend will be much better. but unitl then rubber hosing will work

It seems like common sense to me that you would just have to measure the inlet size for the turbo and order a filter with the same size flange....

I would definately get a filter on there ASAP... you don't know how much dust and junk you are sucking through the tight clearances in your turbo and into your intake manifold...
I used a UNI motorcycle filter on my car, which I bought from a parts store... it's small enough to fit in the small space I have to work with and filters the air really well... my turbo response actually improved when I switched from a screen like you are running to this filter...
