HID's in DA 1pc headlights
I have been kinda looking into some HID's for my 1pc and I know the headlight bulb is an H4H. Now what I am unsure of is that they even make an HID kit with H4H. I was wondering if anyone has HID's in their 1pieces and if you do, i'de like to know if you bought them that way or if you had to do some cutomization!?!?

don't even bother trying to stick an HID bulb inside those headlights. It will be pure crap. At the very least you need to find a way to put OEM HID projectors in there, and it would be better if you also got rid of the prismatic lenses, either directly in front of the projector, or by using clear headlight covers from aftermarket 1-pc Integra headlights.
What you can do instead of doing HID is try getting some H4H bulbs by raybrig or polarg. Very good light output. The only downfall is the price, which wil range from 50-80 for a pair.
I've seen DA's with HIDs. Output is very bright. What you have to do is modify the housing to fit the projectors. Wiring will be easy.

I have seen those H4H bulbs from Raybrig and Polarg and they do look nice but like u said, they are like $85 a pair at inlinefour.com
Oh well, looks like that's my best bet!

I'm actually working on one right now. Its alittle different from the one pieces in that the lens is glass. What i'm going to do though is cutout the front lens and replace it with Lexan MR-10.

I agree here is a pic of someone's DA with one pieces and either polarg or raybrig lights.(can't remember, its an old pic) If this is you picture i hope its okay i posted this.....i just wanted to show how great the output is on this considering its a halogen setup.

Pic courtesey of someone from g2ic.com....i think.
Anyways ^^ for a halogen setup that is very nice. Has nice and even output on the ground. Again, if this is your picture i hope you don't mind me posting it

No way that's a halogen bulb...
I've seen that pic before and I remember the guy mentioning that he did a retrofit in his JDM 1 piece headlights.
I'm too lazy to find the thread but I'm sure someone else will chime in for me.

actually you can put them the one 1pc headlights .. I have a set of phillips h4 8000k in mine .. you just have to mod the piece around the bulb a little.. took me bout 30 min to do it. And they look pretty good...

How was the cutoff of the light pattern? I would think that the lense on the 1 pieces would reflect light in the wrong places and spread the light out weird.

Yes I'm sure there's tons of glare, and 8000K makes them about as useful as a PIAA halogen bulb.
