camber keeps adjust the car's camber... when your wheel is like this /-----\ its negative camber. Thats usually what happens when your lowered, and you unevenly wear out the inner side of your tire. \----/ if your wheels are like taht you have positive camber. Now getting a camber kit helps you striaighten those wheels to the correct spec's so you can get even wear or less negative or positive camber. Also be sure to get an alignment to correct specs also.

If your tires are rubbing without a camber kit, then it will get worse when you do get one. I would just save and get coil overs that way you can raise your car up, and then get a camber kit. I always recommend one, cause i know that it works great on saveing tires.

Just get some coilovers. That way you can adjust everything to your likeing. Or you could get some Koni yellows, and just adjust the height slightly at the expense of ride quality. Me personally would just get some Kyb's and some Arospeed coilovers and go from there, that way you have a option on ride height and stiffness.

first off are those 17's the right offset for the car? im running 17x7 on my eg hatch with no rubbing.
also vibrations could be caused by those wheels being unbalanced and your car not align right.
raise it back to around 2", get those wheels balanced and car align, then see how it rides after.

well it really depends where his tires are rubbing, but looks like the question was answered already.

An alignment is always the first thing on my mind after doing suspension work. Definitely get one as soon as you can after installing your coilovers, or whatever your going to use.
