Default Y8 tranny on Z6 Del Sol engine

If I were to bolt on a D16Y8 tranny to my D16Z6, is that all I really have to do? Or am I going to need to get a new clutch kit, and other things as well? I get a new tranny SOON, and figured I might as well upgrade a little if I can.

No, ALL D-Series clutches/flywheels are interchangeable. All D-Series transmissions are direct bolt-in with D-Series blocks.

But, since the transmission is out, you might want to change out a few things that wear and tear over time. Main seal and Input Shaft Bearing.

As stated above, DIRECT bolt-in. Change out the couple wear and tear pieces, fill her up with some Pennzoil/GM Synchromesh, off you go.
