KONI yellows on 02 EP3
I know there are EP owners out there with the KONI yellows, and i was wondering if this is a direct install, or if any modification had to be done. Ive tried to PM those with KONI's, but haven't had any luck with responses. If anyone can help me out, that would be great.
a few things...
it's going to be fairly certain that you have smaller diameter front struts (50mm), so make certain you get the correct diameter, later models came with 55mm, iirc, and the konis are not interchangeable.
there is a fairly good write-up on koni installation here. it isn't that difficult. i think i did both front inserts in about 90 minutes, and i was taking my time.
the rears bolt right up (not inserts).
the key to changing the spring/struts is to align the factory hash marks on the upper strut assembly. it's a paint mark across the uppermount and a pir of dots on the bearing/cup. take a picture of the original after you remove it from the car. this is typically where people screw up and complain about popping and rattles later.

I've got an '02 EP, and am looking at the Koni's. I have heard about the difference in sizes, but am not sure exactly where to measure. Is it the diameter of the shock body that is different? Just measure that with a pair of calipers and it should be 50 or 55 right?
