you need http://www.homemadeturbo.com
And just to let you know, that little Ko3 KKK turbo is about worthless... The 1.8T is a great engine with a crappy turbo.

Its sooooo small, I've never even heard of anyone putting it on a Sohc 1.6L civic.

I talk smack about it, but my freinds 03' GTi uses that turbo and walked away from a 5.0 mustang from a 80mph roll 2 nights ago WITH 3 PEOPLE IN THE GTi, but I think its the great engine making up for the POS turbo.

If your out to make the most torque at the lowest RPM, that would be the turbo to use.

I've got to agree with that...I have a Passat with the 1.8T and it is great. Even though its mostly stock I still manage to spin the tires coming off a stop if the pavement is lightly wet.

Strong engine...just the turbo was put in to satisfy the people who drove the original Beetle when they were kids...thats the first major upgrade many VW owners do to their cars. If I was holding on to mine I would do the same.

if i am not mistaken the 1.8T makes ONLY 180 hp i dont think i would call it a great engine.

most honda motors dont make 180hp....................the 1.8t bottom end is quite stout; it'll hold more hp than any stock block honda will, and it'll make a shitload of torque as well.

whoever said that the 1.8t is a good motor with a crappy turbo hit the nail on the head

Not to derail this thread any further, but thats apples to oranges. There are honda 1.8s making more than 200hp NA, versus 180hp from a turbo VW. And the hondas aren't build for boost. I don't think it's fair to compare them.

I'm a former 5.0 owner !!! I only sold mine b/c it kept breaking trannys and I was having a baby and needed something reliable.

If you think the 5.0 getting left from a 80mph roll was crazy, then list to this !! A guy at work has a ls-1 ram air trans-am. The GTi left the Trans-am from a second gear roll. it tool the LS-1 till 90mph to pass the VW !!!

From a stop the TA won by about 2.5 cars !!! Only has an APR chip, 2.5'' DP and exhuast, greddy BOV, and air filter.

The VW doesn't even FEEL fast !! I thought I was going to SMOKE him in my turbo civic ( back when I had the stock clutch ), and he ownd me on 9psi, stock exhuast, and stock clutch.

I'm very impressed with the VW motor, only catch is the SHITTY synos in those cars.

If you ever see a 1.8T turbo you'll freak out, it WAYYYYYY to small for a Dohc 20V 1.8L.

Just the apr chip is supposed to boost torque to over 220LBS. to the wheels ( Maybe more ).

His car is very climate picky though, its fairly slower in the 100* heat.
