Default 15" sub recomendations?

I'm looking for a single 15" Sub that can handle 1200-1500 watts RMS and be compatible with a pretty large sealed enclosure.
Thanks for any options/info.

Hrm... if it has to handle that much power...

RE XXX or Brahma. I'm not sure you can do much better than that.

You really can't do any better than a XXX.I have a 15" in my Civic and it gets crazy loud. And the SQ is just great,no muddy or sloppy sounds coming out of it.Good luck.

Since he wants a sealed enclosure, he's probably going for some SQ. I agree with some of the other people, the 15XXX is great... it's even better if you're able to port it and tune it at around 28Hz (still an SQ setup), but the space is an issue. In my 00 Civic sedan, I have a 2.38 cu ft sealed enclosure for my 15XXX. My coworker has a JL13w7, and my setup just sounds better. The SQ is absolutely amazing (I guess that it helps that my entire interior, doors, and trunk are sound deadened )

The Brahma from Adire is also an excellent choice. In terms of XXX vs. Brahma, it's said that the Brahma leans towards more the SQ side while the XXX leans more towards SQL... but the difference is only audible to expert ears.

I believe that each of these subs are priced in the mid 400 dollar range (shipped). Also, the 15XXX weighs around 57 lbs compared to other less powerful 15's... keep that in mind too.

i would only get a 15" sub if u have alotttt of airspace such as a suv or hatchback. otherwise it will not *thump* to its max potential.

i have 2 12" kicker solo barics in my car with a rockford 1200 watt old school amp. deepest bass ever.

you dont nessesarily need the sub to handle alot of watts. the best sub out is the mtx 9500 and they only handle 1000. hope that helped
