so i have a d16y8 with a edelbrock kit non drag one . i installed an MBC the external wastegate way and it spiked to 20 psi and then started to bog out and then shut off. is there someone who has the kit and installed it since i know that the kit comes with the manifold with individual vacuum hoses? any help would be cool

I don't want to presume this sounds as bad as it is, but could you give a little more detail? You needed to install the MBC in an INTERNAL fashion which is a bit different so the actuator can see the vaccum pressure.

You just may have given your motor a fatal accidental shot to the head. blow...... But we need to know more info.

 

yea i shouldve put more detail. i installed the mbc by taking off the wastegate actuator vac line and connectd to the opposite end of the mbc(opposite of the ball joint) and the other to the BOV. that was the was my friends car was set up but he had an external wg.
