My JDM D15B swap pics , and a few questions
Hey everybody i'am new here , i registered a couple of weeks ago but the search button has cleared up alot of questions that i have had . But their are a few puzzles i have in my mind http://photobucket.com/albums/v412/slvrfoci/D15B (for refrence the car is a 94 civic cx, and i'am installing a jdm D15Bvtec with a jdm p20 lsd transmission) .
1) where ami supposed to get a hold of ecu pins or harness pins so i can wire my car up for vtec (if not where can i get a hold of a pin removal tool?) ?
2) where should i ground the ground wire that is coming off of the vtec spoil solenoid (i know someone has mentioned grounding it on the block ... but where anybody have any pics)?
3)should i just make use of the JDM D15B harness , now it is from a auto car judging by the flexplate that came bolted onto the block , would this cause any problems ?
4) if worse came to worse , can i just use my stock CX harness and not wire the vtec signal or spool solenoid wires in and will it still run (with a CEL running i suppose)
5)can i make use of my stock CX manifold ? ( i know it will probalby choke the motor to hell but i'd have to wait atleast another week before i get a header in)
6)will a header meant for a Z6 or DX bolt upto my stock CX exhaust?
7) will i have to swap out VSS out of the JDM transmission for my usdm cx tranny (or a z6 tranny for the matter , becuase of the gearing diffrence) so i can get a mph readout and not the metric kmh readout , or will the P08 ecu send out a kmh signal anyway ? or is this a guage cluster calibration ?
(please excuse any grammar/spelling errors )
thanks in advance

you either use your harness come with the swap. use paper clip or needle.
2) where should i ground the ground wire that is coming off of the vtec spoil solenoid (i know someone has mentioned grounding it on the block ... but where anybody have any pics)?
ground it at the thermostat housing.

use your stock harness.

wiring the vtec is not hard need to know year of the car. if you car is an eg and 92 or 93 you are in luck cause they are prewire for vtec.

yes, i think so, imo.

no you don't need to change vss and p08 only putting out signal the gauge cluster either in mile or km.

1. I have Spare pins if you need them, or any import wrecking yard should have them.
2. Thermostat housing or one of the bolts on the spool solenoid.
3. Use the D15B harness unless it is butchered. If so, add the VTEC wires to the CX harness.
4. It would run, but you would have codes, and possibly limp mode. Wire the VTEC, it's simple.
5. Yes, but as you know it will be choked.
6. Use the D16Z6 header.
7. As long as the VSS uses the same plug, it will work fine. It has nothing to do with miles or kilometer measure, it is only a pulse generator.

Thanks alot for the responses , In response to my first question i've spawned a little mini project while sitting here. I had a factory radio harness that i was going to use in my 240sx to replace the tore harness that it already had in it . So i fiddled around with my eyeglass repair toolkit screwdriver (remmbered reading a post here on HT via my search for vtec wiring) and used that to remove some pins out of this harness. I'am wondering if the pins i pulled out are usable. They seem to fit fine on the ECU itself without moving around, just wondering if it will fit in my ecu harness. If not I'am going to need some pins
.
Well here it is :
