Default Engine Cleaning/Detailing

I don't know if this belongs here, but what is the best way to clean my engine/engine bay to make a like nice and shiny? I have a 92 prelude with a RED AEM CAI, RED valve cover, and tarnished DC SS Headers. Thats what I wanna polish up.

go to your local honda service or napa store and buy some engine detailing cleaner. the brand a napa is called 'simple green'. cover your distrubutor cap and battery etc with a plastic bag and spray. leave it on for a couple of minutes and then spray off with water. repeat and rinse as needed.

Is it ok to use water on your engine? What about steam cleaning?

umm What I do to my car instead of hosing the detailing application off like it says on the back of the bottle is I use a spray bottle and just kinda spray it off lightly then wipe it down. It works really great too. Cuz I don't wanna really get the whole engine wet like down under in the cracks and bare parts of the bay, since you're not gonna spray the application down there anyway. It'll just build up dust down there.
