here's a tip just use soap and water. That probably works the best. If you use degreaser cover any anodized or chrome or polished peices or they will get bleached (disscolored) from the degreaser.

Anyone vouch for steam cleaning?
I used degreaser and a hose. Just cover your distributor, battery cables, any fuses, exposed wires w/ plastic bags and electric tape, then give 'er hell. I probably had the nastiest engine bay on this site when I bought my car, massive oil explosion and 3 years of leaks...shines now.

use heavy duty engine bright. you can buy it at walmart for about 2-3 bucks. just use a mask or something because that stuff smells bad u can smell it from blocks away and due it far away from your driveway because it will stain the ground from all the gease that comes out
