Default radiator hose fell off

I don't know how it happened, but I pulled into my driveway and steam (I thought it was smoke) was billowing from underneath the hood. I popped it and the top radiator hose had just come off for some reason and there was antifreeze everywhere.

Has anyone else had this happen? Is there any cause and if so, any way to prevent it from happening again, or will I just have to roll around with a set of plyers and a jug of water everywhere I go?

Put on regular hose clamps.

This happened to me in my parent's mini van. I didn't even know and I kept driving...but then I notice the temp gauge climbing past half so I checked and I had no coolant left cuz the bottom hose came off. It hasn't happened again ever since we replaced those gay pinching, clamping style ones with the ones you screw to tighten ones.

Sometimes those honda clamps are a bitch and a half to get to depending on where the opening tabs are facing... But they can clamp harder than a pitpul chomping down on your *****.

....Excuse my gore... I feel violent right now.

Check upper and lower hoses and clamps.

it might be time to replace the radiator hose, . what ususally happens is the hose deteriorates and become very squishy and then the clamp sinks into the ruber and basically does a very shitty job of clamping, also when the hoses get soft they are more likely to pop off.

that or there was just no clap on it to begin with, haha ive done that before too, whoops.

i don't mean to be contrary but i actually like the honda claps over the screw type, call me retarted... but actaully it is a pain when the two pintching tabs are like 180* from whre you need them to be
