Why gamble having to tear apart the motor over $80?

bearings, rings should always be replaced when rebuilding/tearing down a motor

Just work 1 overtime shift or ask mommy to cover the cost so you dont have to mess the driveway

You can always reuse rings, pistons and bearings if they go back in the same engine. But measure everything. You still have to measure when you buy new parts.

reusing pistons and rods are no problem, as long as they are still in spec and have the proper clearances. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion of selling everything you got to get something different unless you absolutly want too. If you are trying to do a budget build up just stick with what you got and get some new bearings from Honda and some new rings from JE/SRP.
