Window won't roll up..............PLEASE HELP!!
My passenger window on my 97 civic hx wont roll up. It gets about a half inch from the top and starts clicking/grinding. I've took it apart and I think its the teeth on the assembely that makes the window roll up. If so how do i fix. Its impossible the get workable access to.
Any suggestions? Has this happened to anyone?
thanks mika

After reading all the old posts on this problem i believe its the "regulator" which are include the "teeth".
But does anyone know how to fix. Its gotta be hard.

You have to replace the regulator, which I guess is a huge pain. There was a bit about it a few days ago in a thread where someone tore up the window track, and the replacement of the regulator/window tracks were in there as well.

not bad at all.
take off your door panels
unbolt the bolts that connect to the window assembly (make sure window is rolled down and window is not connected to the assembly)
remove the assembly and inspect, and if its bad then replace it
i had to do this over the summer when someone broke into my car and in the process bent the window assembly thing so i had to pull it out and bend it back best i could in order to roll my window up all the way.
good luck

yep, sounds like definately the cogs on the mech. Happened to mine, sounds exactly the same fault. Wont take more than half an hour to fix once you have the right parts. If you take the door panel off and feel along the teeth section of the mechanism you will probably feel the broken teeth by hand.
No other fix but to swop the whole lot.
