Should I rechip or will my motor run fine?
Ok I have a 91 Civic SI with a Y8 swap going in. The Y8 has been built with JE 10.5:1 c/r pistons, eagle rods, port and polish Y8 head with over sized intake valves. It will also have ram intake and 2 1/2" catback exhaust with gutted cat.
Now here is the question. My PM6 ecu was chipped with a stock A6 map minus rev limiter. Will this still run my Y8 swap fine or should I have another chip burned?

did you go .5 over or 1 over on the Intake v.
I would say go with the y8 chip. Simply cause you prolly could run the a6 but the y8 will prolly do better with a little ecu tunning. It couldn't hurt. good luck. I love your setup so far.

You won't have VTEC if you're using the PM6. I think it would be ok just so you ran some 91+ octane fuel. You surely wouldn't see the same affects as using a P28 that's tuned (chipped) for that motor.
