if you have an si then you have the d16a6 if not then you have the d15b2 in either case the first thing is to find the head you want to use. the y8 or the z6. the y8 will bump up the compression ratio higher then the z6 will. the y8 will be like low 11's and the z6 will be like low 10's. now you have a couple or ways to hook up the vtec: 1, rpm switch ( like from msd) 2, vafc (fields or apexi) 3, vtec ecu (obd1 p28, or a zdyne vtec ecu). the vtec ecu is your best bet. if you go with the p28 ecu then you will probably have to hook up a knock sensor for it to work properly. the high c/r of the mini me are good and bad. they are good bc they provide more hp but bad because they cause more heat, and bc of heat, detonation. so you will have to run premium gas 91 or HIGHER. also i'v seen some people who run a coolder thermostat. you will also need the timing belt of whatever head you choose. and maybe the dizzy. the a6 dizzy may work but might need som mods. you should get the intake mani and header for whatever head you use. the key to the mini-me, just as in any mod is proper tuning. dont forget new gaskets. and if you have any more ??s here are some helpful sites.
