Shocks with a normal stock spring perch location will not make our car sit any higher or lower unless there is a drastic diffenerence in the internal gas pressure. If you go from a non-gas shock to a mono-tube high pressure gas or vice versa, there might be a very minor change in your height.

Some shocks like the Koni Sports for a number of cars offer an adjustable spring perch location such that you may be able to slightly raise or lower the car a bit but you need to make sure your springs and the settings you use are compatible (not too low, not risking coil bind).

Your primary tool for setting your ride height is the spring though.
