anyone relocate there battery in a 5th gen?

Default anyone relocate there battery in a 5th gen?


i need to relocate it to free up space for IC piping and such.

which hole did u go through the firewall in and pics would be nice

Remove the underhood fuse box. Right underneath that should be the big rubber seal that goes into the cabin that would feed right ontop/around the ECU. You can pull up your carpeting and side panels to run this all the way back. Thats what i did when i had a stereo like 2 years ago.

cool, ill look under my fuse box today. i found another hole behind the cruise control as well

The way I did my relocation was in the trunk, and i just ran the wire down the inner frame and zip tied to wire. If you ever have a seriuos audio system the power wire inside the car would affect it by distortion. Id suggest grounding your factory ground battery cable and then run an extension power cable down the frame (18'fter 2ga.) thru the bottom of the trunk fool, either thru the water drainage holes or drill a new hole and coat it with tape or rubber, so your power wire never grounds out. then take a new negative cable (2-4fter and ground it to the frame, or solid trunk floor.
