Default Motor Mounts

My 1990 CRX dx is in the shop getting some work done, I'm getting an LS engine and tranny dropped in... I have the option of getting HASport motor mounts or "custom fabricated" motor mounts. What should I go with? I heard some bad things about HASports, that they keep the engine so stiff that it makes the rest of the car vibrate. I don't want that, but I want some nice reliable quality mounts.

Arizona race machine mounts are good..

I hear alot of people braking hasport mounts..Dont know how ?..Hasport replaces them free but its still a bitch to replace motor mounts..

I would never get custom mounts unless I did them myself..

Supposedly this guys mounts are pretty good and he did them in a CRX-LS before. Its a little cheaper than the HASports but I just wanna know how other people feel about the HASports or any other mounts on the market.

Well, after I installed an h22 into my 92 Civic I vowed to myself to NEVER own a mount kit again for as long as I live.

What does that tell you?

HAPSORT! u really want ur motor moving?

yea it vibrates the fizzznuck outta u but keeps everything balanced and where its supposed to be, especially on a crx where there isnt much clearance, i know if my motor moves up half an inch its goin thru my cf hood!!

Yup, you dont want your motor moving all over the place. There's always a chance that if the mounts aren't stiff enough then the motor will rub on the hood, the IM will ontact the firewall or the alternator will rub on the fenderwell.

Well who know for sure until they break which i hope they wont. They seem pretty good.

Heres what it says on their website.

"All of our aftermarket motor mount kits come with an UNLIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY. No questions asked. If you break them, regardless of circumstance, simply return them to us we'll replace them for you!"

Dang, ask them to let you contact the owner of that other car they did. Then check it out for your self. It may be that they do a good job. If they say that they can't let you see the car, then get the Hasports.

I can personally state that making mounts is NOT cost affective.
