hasport mounts causing vibration
I stated before i have an odd vibration between 1000-3000 rpm would my hasport mounts be the culprit? They are extremly stiff and it seems as if the motor has almost no play

Re: hasport mounts causing vibration
Um they are solid motor mounts!!! The motor mounts only job is to hold the motor and reduce the vibration carried through the chassis.
So solid mounts will transfer more vibration through the chassis. You tend to have more vibrations around idle. I have Hasport 62a mounts and they are great if you dont mind the added vibration!
Might want to go into more detail about the vibration to make sure it isn't something else.

Dammit. How many posts do you need to start for this?

If your mounts are actually solid then there's your answer. Stop wasting people's time with this.

hasport is not solid.
they come in 62a, 70 or 75a, and i think 100a
62a is stiff and provides vibration...i can't image how bad 100a would be..i have the 62s and i am happy with their performance.

"Pestured"? I repeat; how many threads about vibration do you need? You already asked this SAME QUESTION in the other thread you started YESTERDAY!!!

Do you have the torque mounts installed?
Hasport mounts still require the torque mounts.
If you took them off then put them back on.
Hasport will even tell you so if you call them.
FYI this has been covered many times hence why grumble flamed you.
If you search you will find plenty of information on this subject.

I still don't see where you addressed ANYONE'S questions or concerns in either thread.
And those squiggly red lines that show up under the word while you're typing are telling you that you've misspelled something. Right-click on the word to chose the correctly spelled one. How's that for help?
Seriously. "I have solid motor mounts. DO you think that would cause vibration?" Really? Like I asked you, and you didn't answer, did you have the vibration PRIOR to the mounts?

Re: hasport mounts causing vibration
Arguing in general isn't going to get anyone anywhere (neither will acting like a kid). With that said, ANY mount that is semi-solid will increase vibration transmitted to the chassis. Just looking at the mounts compared to stock ones and it should be quite obvious. It really doesn't matter what the rating is either, just the design itself should tell you "These mounts will rattle all loose crap off of your car." Now between the different ratings is a valid argument but compared to stock, it's just not even the same. If you don't want that rattle, replace the mounts or wait till they (hopefully) rattle themselves away.
**Also you don't seem too familiar with general internet etiquette so in the future, one thread is all you need or you will be put on blast.

Re: hasport mounts causing vibration
Yah one thread no problem my old thread went to the back pages so i thought id start a new one talking about my mounts. The mounts were installed by previous owner and im not sure how to tell if they are 62a 70 100. The whole honda thing is new to me unlike most of you i see here this is my first build and im just simply looking for clerification on things. Which mounts besides OE would be best to eliminate this chassis vibration?

hasport mounts regardless of durometer(stiffness rating), do not need tq mounts... no matter how hard you try you will never ever have enough engine/trans movement to ever put any labor on the "baby mounts/torque mounts"
The engine/trans stay extremely still when using their mounts and most other aftermarket performance mounts.
My h22 mount kit from hasport consist of a rear mount, drivers side mount, and transmission mount, That's all. There is no way to use tq mounts with a h or f in a civic. That being said, the h22 has much more tq than any b series stock for stock. So if a h/f swap doesn't require torque mounts with a hasport kit then why would a b or d series need them?
I personally have 62a and i have little to no movement.

Re: hasport mounts causing vibration
to each their own, i just never can detect the slightest bit of movement even with my h swap with only 3 mounts...
I had the hasport mount kit in my del sol and 96 coupe with a b16 and i only ever used the 3 mounts...never needed the tq mounts.. it looked clean without them and they seemed to serve no purpose..
ON the other hand now, I did get a 93 hatch with a ls-v for cheap and used it for parts and ended up selling it, but when i got it, that thing had only the 3 main mounts (oem stock) and the engine and trans looked like it was gonna fall out the bottom from so much movement due to having NO tq mounts...if oem mounts are used they are a must.

If you call them and ask they will tell you to use your torque mounts.
If you feel you dont need them thats your preference.
Hasport will indeed tell you to use them.
Dont believe me? call them yourself

Re: hasport mounts causing vibration
I ran with out for six months and experienced bad wheel hop. I added the transmission torque mount and it has helped. I am picking up a traction bar tonight to help with the remaining hop. I would def use torque mounts when possible
