cmon peeps, there has to be a way to pass a state referee inspection. I have a 99 ek with h22a turboed. I got a citation for a "modified exhaust". some peeps tell me to swap in my stock engine...no way...there has to be a way around this. You cant tell me that everytime someone has to get refereed the swap engines back to stock...anyone know of anyone that will pass me??? some one please help.

 

if you got a tix for modified exhaust, just pay the tix and you dont need to be reffed. but the tiux is like over $500

 

legally you won't pass smog nor CA BAR Inspection, but hopefully someone will IM you with a hook up in LA, Good luck! I never heard of any State Ref hook ups.

 

ouch, your screwed....unless you take off your tubro and make your car REALLY clean and say you need your car reffed with the H22 motor. Also, the motor has to be 99 or newer to count as a "motor change". Good luck, some refs are sick and tired of rice rockets coming in and out and usually don't give much slack.
