Smog for swapped motor
If you have a swapped motor do you have to take
your car to a special Smog place to get it smogged?
I went to this car shop and they told me they couldn't
smog my car because it had a swapped motor.

Are you CA? if so, you have to get the motor examined by the state ref for the BAR. Call up the state BAR ( 800.952.5210) and make an appointment. They'll make an appt for you at the closest facility to you (usually a community college) and you'll take it there and let the guy go over your swap with a fine toothed comb. Assuming it passes muster, he'll give you a BAR sticker and then you can take it to get it smogged. Be warned, the state ref will be really picky when he goes over your swap, so if you cut any corners, didn't plug everything up like factory, or jerry-rigged anything, you'll be going home with a disappointed look on your face and instructions on what to do to fix the problems they've found. Good luck!
