Default what did they change?

What did acura change for the 05 year? was it substantial enough to justify over a 2003/2004 model in your opinion?

the rsx-s has 10 more hp(210) and there are styling changes, suspension changes(for the better), 17 inch wheels, and a bit more weight. they may be more, but these are the big ones.

Hondata ripped apart the 05 motor and found that the head was basically a Type-R head; cams, intake manifold, etc. The block is the same I think with the same compression. The ECU is totally different, Hondata is still currently trying to figure everything out so they can reflash the ECU.

in the 05 they widened the throttle body by 11% and gave it a more free-er flowing cat, and exhaust there fore giving it more hp. the lights are different too. dont buy 02-04 parts thinking that they will fit because most of them dont...i just got burned on some headers. im pretty shure the race headers would fit but i wanted to be able to smog ok so i got the shorty. didnt fit.

You forgot to mention the RSX-S got the Civic Si 4.7xx final drive ration as well for 2005. That's worth more than 10hp in my book, especially when you put in a Quaife LSD.

I still think it is compensation for a heavier wheel/tire package and an overall heavier chassis design. That car needed less weight and not more HP IMO.

Autocross one of them compared to any Civic or Integra and you'll see.

I personally prefer the styling of the 2002-2004 RSX over the 2005. Maybe I"m just partial though

Even though i have an 05, i agree. I love the looks of the 02-04, but all the motor/suspension/chassis changes they made are well worth a few minor cosmetic changes

I haven't gotten a chance to ride in or drive one...but I"ll take your word for it. Actually I haven't seen any on the road. I've only seen them on showroom floors and at car shows.

The gauge cluster is different as well. The seats are plumper. I felt the 02-04 seats were hard as hell.
