It seems to me that my hood is fading or something. It is about a year old and I don't think it should be doing it. I'm not sure if this is normal or what with CF hoods but if it is is there any good products to buff it out?

 

the clear on cheaper hoods seem to fade over time, then eventually crack. Once it starts to fade, i guess you could compound it and then wax it, but it is probably mostly gone already. Just like faded paint.

 

I have heard of them doing it, but I am not sure how to fix it(or if it can be fixed, without stripping the clear and re-clearing it) I think I read somewhere where someone fixed theirs but can't recall. I am sure someone on here can confirm this for you.

Yup, over time it will happen....just got to your local paint shop and have them refinish it i.e. new clear coat

 

just get it reclearcoated

 

you can wax it ya know
