question about exhaust.
I have an apexi n1 full cat back exhaust. Im just wondering what part actually makes most of the sound. Is it the big coffee can? I receieved a noise violation and was wondering if this would work. Im going to take my car to a machine shop, have then cut off the cofee can and put a flange on both sides of tubing, then take my stock exhaust and put a flange on it, then just swap it on so i can swap on stock and apexi mufflers like a universal muffler. Is the Cofee can the part that generates the most noise? If so would swapping it out, just the cofee can and putting stock muffler in its place reduce the noise enough to make me pass?
well the stock exhaust has a resonater, you n1 might have one, or might not. not sure, but anyways i would go with the es ovel and you could tell the police its stock. but it is mainly the stock resonater you hear
es oval? whats that? Anyways i went up to get my ticket signed off with my apexi n1 exhaust with silencer in and it didnt pass. Do u think if i kept the apexi n1 full catback exhaust on my car and just chopped off the cofee can and welded on the stock muffler would it pass?
