i have an apexi n1 full cat back exhaust. Is it possible to buy a more quiet silencer. The silencer that came with my exhaust is not quiet enough. Can i modd the silencer? or is their a shop that sells quieter silencers?
Thanks much help is greatly appreciated because i have to go to court soon to check out the noise violation.

I have that same exhaust on my EG. What kind of motor do you have?
When I had my N1 on my Z6 it was hella-loud above 5K.
But when I swapped my LS in, it was much quieter (and beefier-ish).

I personally cant stand-it when I have a silencer in. Sounds stupid.
In the mean-time..... A high-flo-resinator quieted mine down alot (and it sounded cleaner).
For Court.... I'd go pull a stock exhaust from a junk-yard. Pass the test... and slap your N1 back-on later. Hope this helps.

That silencer on Apexi.com looks kinda like the regular-one that comes with your exhaust... but I dont know.

hey thanks for respose mwieczorek43. Under my hood i have d16y8. I have a stock exhaust but i cut it in half, uninstalling it to put in apexi n1. I went up to court yesterday, with the stock silencer on and failed the test. hehe. Is the silencer in my link a more quiet silencer then the stock one?

you could always just go to a muffler shop and have them put on like 18 inch resonator, that would tone things down a good bit. But here in alabama we have noise limits, u sure hear some of the redneck pickups with just str8 pipes OMG
