Hi guys. my first topic in h-t

I was going to improove my suspension when i got this (amazing to me) business, the Subaru Impreza 98 seats (baquets). But i don't much of seats and installing seats. Do you know if I can buy brackets (is that the name) to mount them on my EG6?Or if there is a simple way of intalling them saffelly and good?

Ah about the price, 400€ (used) wich is like 410€.. hum?
(no way i'me gonna pay the "symbol" RECARO and give 1600€ used too.

 

Direct fit? No. You could probably find a way to put honda sliders and brackets onto that seat to make it fit though.

I'm gonna say you'd need custom mounts/rails. Since it's a Subaru, there'd be no reason for it to have similar seat mounting design to a Honda. I could be wrong, but most manufacturers don't stick to some universal mounting pattern. Nissans are certainly very different than Hondas. Take the seats and your car to a fabrication shop, see what they have to say. I can't imagine there's any off-the-shelf solution.

looks like the fronts would go over that groove on the floor. so all ya gotta do is bend the rears flat down and try to match the holes on the bracket with the holes in the floor. if they dont line up. drill a hole. ive done this b4.
either that or find a way to put the brackets on. that would be much harder.

also, check the width of the seat. it might or might not fit.

I have a problema of "trying to fit".. becauso they are at a junk yard ( a place where the crashed cars go, don't know the name). I can take the mesures that i can do.. What i would like to hear is "ADN more or lesse work but it is doable!"

Anything is doable, but it may not be affordable. If you haven't purchased these yet, try looking for something else that would be easier. And by that I mean anything that is either a universal fit (Sparco, Cobra, Corbeau, etc.) or something from another Honda.

 

If you have to start BENDING the brackets that are already on it, I personally would try and make Honda rails fit. Bending that metal around just to make it fit to the floor to bolt it down is only gonna weaken it. And PLEASE use 4 bolts to hold it down, 3 is just ghetto and unsafe. Please do it right, and do it safely.

Tomorrow morning i am gonna unplug/dismount my driver seat and try to see and imagine what i can do or do not do..

To the ones who encouraged me to find other Honda seats, i just like the Integra Type R (DC-2) ou the new integra (RSX there? ) but the prices are like 1500/1800$ (used) and I don't want to gice so much money. And to the ones who advised to search a Sparco or something, they are more expensive (even the worst sparco) like 500$ each (in portugal) and they are a little bit " to agressive" or not too discreet for my taste.. To this price I think i can't find with same quality..

you really only need 1 bolt.
