We went through a little water yesterday and got half way through and the car died so i jump out and push it the rest of the way out.I get back in and attempt to start it and i turn the key and CLUNK wont even turn over.So i call and have it towed but before he hooks up to the car i try it one more time.And it cranks but i didnt try to start it as it sound like the exhaust or something was vibrating so bad it sounded like the exhaust was just banging up agianst the floor board.So we got it home and left it till this morning tried it agian and wont crank.Iam going to pull the plugs and crank it....is there anything else i should do and who thinks iam fucked and the motor is shot btw the car is a 03 eclipse

 

have your starter removed and checked, its free at autozone. Next, I would actually check my distributor cap. because I had the same problem before after water. I could turn over my car but no spark coz of water inside the distributor. Im not sure about 2003s it may still have distributors. thats all i could think for now. But first things first, ur car sounds like its not turning over, the starter turns that motor over.

 

Ya u could b e right it sounds like ur battery is dead when i try to start it but it only clicks once

 

well i pulled the plugs and it would crank so i dranied the oil holy **** water for like 10 seconds before oil came out dumped some old oil back in it to clean it out cranked it and watched water shoot from the spark plug holes.Then put new oil in it and it tried to start but its still wet so iam going to let it dry for a day and buy some new plugs i just hop everything else is ok

 

be glad yours still turns over. my brother hydrolocked his motor last week and threw a rod out the side of the block.
