Default any benefit to swapping a crx si head to my dx? i figured there would be some

hey theres a rex si in the junkyard with 89k miles on it. i took off the valve cover and everything inside looks premium. i would like to put this head onto my civic because this si head will save me mad cash instead of buying a cam for my civic. any thoughts on this? what gasket should i use? metal d16y8? or is that a bad idea?

I thought that dx head flows pretty good stock almost as good as z6. I might be wrong though. It doesn't have vtec but flow okay I guess. I think there was someone that ported the **** out of it and put a cam in there and made some good numbers.

88-91 CRX Si and 92-95 Civic DX have the same head cast

yah they are the same damn head. the cam is a touch different but you arent going to get hardly any gains from it. the A6 makes 2 more HP than your DX from the factory.

if you want gains without swapping over to vtec head, buy a reground cam, maybe port and mil the head.
