Default D16Y8 Turbo Kits

I'm planning for summer mods for the Civic. Engine swap is out of the question for several reasons. Mainly my car has only 60K miles and it's good for another 100K.

I can get the Greddy Turbo kit for well under $2000. I know it doesn't include a BOV or intercooler, so that's where my questions start.

How do I put a BOV on? Is there just a universal flange to buy to have aluminum welded to the charge pipes? Also, how would I go about putting on an intercooler? Would I have to do custom piping or does the piping with the kit allow you to put an intercooler in?

If there's a more complete kit for under $2200, please link me. I don't want to do a junkyard setup as it always ends up costing more in the end to do it properly.

Thank you. Please post any relevant pictures, especially of the Greddy kit installed on the D16Y8.

get a used greddy kit from someone on here. you can get a kit w/ FMIC and BOV for under $1500. And if you want a new kit then send the turbo out for a rebuild ($300) and then you basicaly have a new kit for under $1800.

i wouldnt get new parts... its just pipes, with the exception of a turbo.

I had a greddy kit. I left it at stock boost 6psi, and it was very fun. you will enjoy.

i just boosted my 96 Civic EX D16Y8 on Dec. 12 2004. with a greddy 15g kit.

get it at http://www.city-speed.com only $1455 shipped !!!

everything was bolt-on pretty nice, and man, lots of torque at 5psi! i would not regret boosting my car. so much fun and so far it has been pretty reliable.

i would not do junkyard kits unless you are familiar with turbo kits.

I am selling a KIT, that WILL Fit your PREFECTLY!

U should buy it

1750 + shiping

200whp EASY

How do I put a BOV on?
Mine is already ON!
Is there just a universal flange to buy to have aluminum welded to the charge pipes?
u have to buy a flange, but mine is already on there
Also, how would I go about putting on an intercooler?
u need custom pipes fited for a 96-00 honda civic,
Oh wait MINE IS ALREADY DONE for you
Would I have to do custom piping or does the piping with the kit allow you to put an intercooler in?
I also have a Fat JRC 6 inch and a rebuild turbo, so u don't have to worrie about any problems.

That is a very nice setup, but I will not have the money til at least this summer. I'm going to college full time right now (out of state), so money is very short. My tax return is the first part going towards my turbo kit

What's your setup? I see you've got impressive numbers on your Y8. There must be a good internal buildup.
