Default 270degree thrust bearing vs a 360 degree thrust beering

can annybody tell me what the difference is between a 270 degree thrust bearring and a 360 degree thrust bearring?

the difference is really about longevity of the turbo. Both will last about 200,000 miles or so w/o much issue, but the 360 degree bearing can take a bit more heat, a bit more punishment, and keep things running at an optimal level a bit longer

the 360* thrust bearing provides greater oiling and shaft protection under higher thrust loads. (higher boost pressures(above 16psi on a daily basis, improperly sized turbine housings, mismatched wheels, etc..)

about 90% of our customers using T3/TO4E turbos use the factory 270* thrust with zero problems.
however, when moving up to the larger compressors mated to the smaller T3 turbine sections, it is recommended to run the 360* thrust to prolong the life of the turbocharger.

we do a large amount of rebuilds on all different types of turbochargers and hardly will we see a thrust loss as cause of failure. the main cause of failure is improper oiling, or oil contamination.
