Default Correcting ECU Code 43----O2 sensor? something else?

Hey guys,

My system flashed a code 43

Fuel Supply System
defective or malfunctioning fuel supply system

I'll be changing the 02 sensor as suggested by honda, is there anything else I should change? I dont know if this is the right thing to do, but I'm pretty sure the o2 sensor was never changed in its 9 year life span. I think it suppose to improve my perofrmace after this too as suggested by autozone employees.

Another questions;

*when should i change my cat? my car has about 175K on it, and I was thinking about changing it. Kragen has a new one for 50 which is affordable for me right now. I don tknow if its within emission standards, but I assume it is since they didnt mention that it isnt. Stock Cats last about 100k dont they?

Has the car been missing, or been sluggish. I would guess with that code that the fuel rail is not getting enough fuel. Meaning your filter could be clogged, or you pump could be going bad.

it was sluggish but we changed the fuel filter and it runs alot better...no more hesitation then surges...

but i havent drove it that far to actually feel if theres a differece..

im thinking o2 sensor...then a restricted cat?

i might change the two..

what do you guys think?

I am having the same problem my car just failed smog. Its flashing 43, and 1 and 17. I just replaced the oxegen sensor in the manifold and the cat. Are there two Oxegen sensors? Could kragan have given me the wrong one? Im trying to get my car registered and its a pain. Im going to replace the fuel filter and see if that helps. Where can i get a oxegen sensor that i know is good?

Any help is apprieciated
Thanks

Depending on your year/engine there are 2 O2 sensors...

If you have a 96-98 non-vtec you have 2 O2 sensors all others have 1
